Evonik to Buy Excipients Range from Boehringer

Evonik says it has agreed to purchase Boehringer Ingelheim’s Resomer range of polymer-based pharmaceutical excipients. Financial terms were not disclosed. Completion of the transaction is subject to various conditions and closing is expected in early March, the companies say. The entire portfolio of standard and customized polymers used in the manufacture of medical devices and pharmaceutical formulations will be transferred to Evonik, under the terms of the agreement.
