EU Tables New Industrial Emissions Controls

The European Parliament has voted to introduce emission limits for all manufacturing currently regulated by EU industrial pollution legislation, as part of a revision of the European Union’s (EU) Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) directive. In particular, the parliament is seeking to control emissions from titanium dioxide plants.   Under the proposals, the parliament is also looking to provide manufacturers with extra flexibility, by requiring plant inspections every 18 months-instead of the current system of every year-for plants...
