Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Europe/Mideast EU Claims Pole Position on Hydrogen Fuel Cells8:51 AM MDT | June 6, 2008 | Alex Scott The European Commission says the European Union (EU) is in “pole position” to develop fuel cells powered by hydrogen after this week creating a public-private joint technology initiative (JTI), named the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Joint Undertaking. The JTI will implement EU target-oriented R&D to support and accelerate the broad market introduction of hydrogen-powered fuel cells between 2010 and 2020, the commission says.
