EFSA publishes reference values for intake of vitamin C, manganese

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA; Parma, Italy) has set population reference intakes for vitamin C and adequate intakes for manganese, the authority says. EFSA is updating advice issued previously on dietary reference values (DRVs) at the request of the European Commission, taking new scientific evidence and recent recommendations into account. The two opinions were finalized by EFSA's dietetic products, nutrition, and allergies panel after public consultation.
