A public consultation on potential candidates for substitution of carbendazim has been opened by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki). Potential candidates for substitution of carbendazim are being sought because it meets the exclusion criteria of Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) and it meets two of the persistent, bioaccumulative, or toxic (PBT) criteria (P and T) under BPR.
