Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Europe/Mideast Dwory Closes Purchase of Kaucuk11:11 AM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Ian Young Firma Chemiczna Dwory (Oświęcim, Poland) has completed the acquisition of Kaučuk (Kralupy, Czech Republic) from Unipetrol (Prague) for CzK5.4 billion ($248 million). Unipetrol put Kaučuk up for sale early last year and later entered exclusive negotiations with Dwory (CW, July 26/Aug. 2, 2006, p. 15). Kaučuk makes butadiene, styrene, polystyrene (PS), and synthetic rubber at Kralupy, and ethylbenzene (EB) at Litvínov, Czech Republic, and generates sales of more than €350 million/year ($452 million).
