Chemical Firms Profit from EU Carbon Trading System

A study published last week by research institute CE Delft (Delft, the Netherlands) finds that energy-intensive industries participating in the European Unionâ€™s (EU) Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) for curbing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have generated substantial profits from their participation in the program.
