Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Europe/Mideast Borealis to buy DEXPlastomers from DSM, ExxonMobil6:23 AM MST | November 16, 2012 | —Natasha Alperowicz Borealis says it has reached an agreement to acquire DEXPlastomers (Heerlen, Netherlands), an equally owned joint venture between DSM and ExxonMobil Chemical. DEXPlastomers is a producer of ExxonMobil-process Exact plastomers, and Stamylex octene comonomer linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) using DSM technology. The company operates a 120,000-m.t./year solution-process polyethylene facility at Geleen, Netherlands. The deal, which includes the sale of DSM's linear low-density Compact solution technology, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2013...
