Bayer to close PC sheet plant in Germany; sells units in Australia, NZ

Bayer MaterialScience (BMS) has decided to close its polycarbonate (PC) sheet facility at Darmstadt, Germany, as part of the company’s worldwide consolidation of its PC sheet business. BMS currently produces PC sheets at 10 locations. Meanwhile, the PC sheet businesses in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the Laserlite brand name, are being sold, Bayer says.
