Bayer Reports Higher Sales and Earnings, Confirms Full-Year Outlook

Dekkers: Emerging markets were key. Emerging markets made a key contribution to Bayer’s third-quarter sales and earnings growth, chairman Marijn Dekkers says. A substantial increase in earnings at the Bayer HealthCare and Bayer CropScience subgroups was “another highlight.” But higher energy and raw material costs led to a drop in earnings at Bayer MaterialScience.
