Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Europe/Mideast Bayer Makes Major Investment in R&D to Curb Climate Change10:20 AM MST | December 3, 2007 | Alex Scott Bayer says it will spend €1 billion ($1.48 billion) on R&D projects between 2008 and 2010 that are directed toward reducing global warming. The investment is part of a wider initiative, dubbed the Bayer Climate Program, designed to slash the group’s global warming gas emissions and enhance its portfolio of products that could be used to cut global warming. The initiative will include the introduction of “climate change evaluation criteria,” a system for selecting new investment projects that cost more than €10 million, Bayer says...
