BASF and Ineos Launch Styrolution, Are Close to Divesting Spanish ABS Asset

BASF and Ineos, partners in the styrenics joint venture Styrolution, say the company started operating as an independent unit on October 1, 2011, following approval from the relevant antitrust authorities. Styrolution, a 50-50 alliance, comprises the key styrenics activities of the two partners. It is the world’s leading supplier of styrenics, the owners say.
