BASF is ready to commercialize a process, based on renewable resources, to produce 1,2 propanediol (PDO), more commonly known as 1,2 propylene glycol, and the company will make a decision on the “double-digit-million euro” investment within six months, Stefan Marcinowski, board member/R&D tells CW.
