Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Europe/Mideast BASF Expands in Construction12:43 PM MDT | April 28, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff BASF has acquired the business activities of construction chemical firm BCD Rohstoffe für Bauchemie (Klosterneuburg, Austria). BCD supplies polymer dispersions primarily for cement-based coating systems, and air-entraining agents for dry mortar and cement. BASF plans to double annual sales of its construction chemical business to about €4 billion ($6.3 billion) by 2015. BASF says it plans to reach its goal by transferring technologies that have proven successful in one region, to other regions, as well as through R&D, investing in emerging markets...
