Arkema cancels PVDF hike in France after worker protests

Arkema says it has abandoned a €70-million ($90.5 million) project to increase capacity for the company’s Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) fluoropolymer at Pierre-Bénite—near Lyon, France—following opposition from members of the site’s workforce to a reorganization that would have accompanied the plans.
