Aramco, Dow Seek Bids for Saudi JV; Completion in 2015

Engineering contractors have been asked to bid for several plants that will form part of a previously announced large-scale joint project by Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical to build a petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia. The packages, all involving long-lead procurement items, include the complex’s olefins plant as well as units that will produce industrial gases, methylene di- para phenylene isocyanate (MDI), toluene di-isocyanate (TDI), aniline, formalin, di-nitro toluene, and nitric acid.
