Toray Assesses Flood Damage in Thailand, Restarts Some Plants

Toray Industries says that damage assessment began on November 26 at the Ayutthaya, Thailand plant of the company’s Thai Toray Synthetics (TTS; Bangkok) subsidiary, which stopped operating on October 6 as a result of the recent floods. The Ayutthaya plant produces nylon yarns for industrial use and polyester yarn for apparels. It has not been decided when the plant will restart, Toray says.
