Teijin to establish tire cord JV in Thailand

Teijin and its wholly owned subsidiary Teijin Frontier (Osaka) will accelerate their automotive rubber materials business in Thailand by establishing a tire cord joint venture there with Ayaha (Otsu, Japan), a company specializing in tire cord production. Teijin Frontier will hold a 56.66% stake in the jv, Ayaha will hold 33.34%, and Teijin will hold the remaining 10%. The jv will be established by the end of June on the premises of Teijin plant at the Bang Pa-in Industrial Estate in Ayutthaya Province, Teijin says.
