Sumitomo to Build Second SSBR Plant in Singapore

Sumitomo Chemical tells CW that it is planning to build an additional solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber (SSBR) manufacturing plant at Jurong Island, Singapore. The second plant is expected to have a production capacity of about 40,000 m.t./year. The company says it has not made a final decision on the capacity of the second plant.
