Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Asia/Pacific Sumitomo establishes PP Compounds JV in China12:04 PM MDT | August 29, 2011 | —DEEPTI RAMESH Sumitomo Chemical has established a 50-50 joint venture with Jilin Xindongtai Engineering Plastics, a compounds producer based at an automotive industry development zone in Jilin Province, China, for the manufacture and sale of polypropylene (PP) compounds for automotive applications. The jv, Jilin Dongcheng Sumika Polymer Compounds, will construct a PP compound manufacturing plant at the Gongzhuling Economic Development Zone in the suburbs of Changchun.
