Sumitomo Acquires Fungicide Business from LG Life Sciences

Sumitomo Chemical says it has signed a deal to acquire the ethaboxam fungicide business of LG Life Sciences (Seoul), an affiliate of LG. The acquisition will be completed this month. Ethaboxam fungicide is highly effective on a range of diseases such as downy mildew, late blight, and pythium disease in several crops including grapes, vegetables, potatoes, and corn as well as other row crops, Sumitomo says.
