Some Mitsui Plants at Iwakuni-Ohtake Site to Restart in July

Offstream: Many units at Iwakuni-Ohtake are idle. Mitsui Chemicals says that some of the plants at the company’s Iwakuni-Ohtake production complex at Waki, Japan that were shuttered temporarily following an explosion and fire at the site last April, are tentatively expected to restart in late July. The explosion occurred on April 22 at a resorcinol plant at the Iwakuni-Ohtake complex. The blast killed one Mitsui employee and injured 25 people, including 14 local residents.
