Solvay Buys Surfactants Firm, Ups Polymers Capacity in India

Solvay says it has signed an agreement to acquire a controlling interest in Sunshield Chemicals (Mumbai), which specializes in surfactants, from Amit Choksey Group. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Butstraen: Will speed up growth in India. Sunshield Chemicals, which is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (Mumbai), produces and exports surfactants, cross-linkers, and antioxidants.
