Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Asia/Pacific Solutia Acquires Additional Film Manufacturing Capacity in Taiwan10:03 AM MDT | September 9, 2011 | —DEEPTI RAMESH Solutia says it has acquired additional capacity for high-technology conductive film manufacturing from Aimcore Technology (Hsinchu, Taiwan), a leading indium tin oxide glass manufacturing firm, for about $3.4 million. Solutia acquired last March certain high-tech film manufacturing assets of Aimcore Technology for $7 million. The additional capacity will expand significantly the production of Solutia’s Flexvue film components, which are used in touch screens, solar applications, smart windows, and e-readers, Solutia says.
