Sinochem, Shell sign deal for sulfur-enhanced fertilizers

Sinochem (Beijing) says that its Sinochem Fertilizer (Beijing) unit signed two cooperation agreements with Royal Dutch Shell, according to which the two companies will collaborate on the production of sulfur-enhanced fertilizers and sulfur trade. Slow-release sulfur fertilizer products, which will be made by the companies through the collaboration, will supplement sulfur and play a major role in controlling bacteria and insects; promoting decomposition of plant residues; and reducing pH value, or acidity, of alkaline soil, Sinochem says.
