Sika to acquire manufacturer of cementitious powder products

Sika (Baar, Switzerland) says it has agreed to acquire LCS Optiroc (Singapore), a leading manufacturer of cementitious powder products, including business operations in Malaysia. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. The business that Sika will acquire generates annual sales of about 24 million Swiss francs ($27 million). Sika, under the terms of the deal, will gain two manufacturing plants. They are in Singapore and at Johor Bahru, Malaysia. With the acquisition, Sika will be able to take a big step forward in Singapore’s construction...
