Sibur and Sinopec Move Ahead with Synthetic Rubber JV in China

Sibur (Moscow) and Sinopec signed a cooperation agreement earlier this month, which will form the basis for the creation of a previously announced joint venture for the production of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and isoprene rubber at Shanghai. Sibur and Sinopec announced last October the possible formation of two jv’s for the production of NBR, at Krasnoyarsk, Russia; and Shanghai.
