Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Asia/Pacific Sibur, Sinopec Plan Nitrile Rubber JV’s2:18 PM MDT | October 17, 2011 | —DEEPTI RAMESH Sibur (Moscow) says it has entered into a memorandum of extended cooperation with Sinopec on the possible formation of two joint ventures for the production of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR). The jv’s would be based at Krasnoyarsk, Russia and Shanghai. The Krasnoyarsk jv would take over the existing NBR assets of Krasnoyarsk Synthetic Rubbers Plant, a subsidiary of Sibur, and expand that plant’s capacity from 36,500 m.t./year, to 56,000 m.t./year.
