Bukom Island site: Capacity will rise by 20%. Royal Dutch Shell says it has taken a final investment decision to debottleneck its steam cracker at Bukom Island, Singapore. The project, which is expected to increase the plant’s olefins and aromatics capacity by more than 20%, was first announced last year. Engineering work for the debottlenecking will take place during the cracker’s next maintenance turnaround.
