SGL and Samsung form carbon composite materials JV

SGL Group (Wiesbaden, Germany) and Samsung Petrochemical have entered into a partnership for carbon fiber composite materials through the establishment of a marketing and sales joint venture. Samsung and SGL will each hold a 50% stake in the jv, and the objective of the cooperation is to develop new industrial and electronic applications with carbon composite materials for Samsung and the South Korean market. The jv will be called Samsung SGL Carbon Composite Materials. The transaction is expected to close in July, and the jv is slated to become operational...
