The project entails a 25% increase in phenol and acetone capacities, and a 43% increase in cyclohexanol capacity, Rhodia says. The company says the market for phenol and cyclohexane is growing about 5%-6%/year, driven by demand for nylon and phenolic resins in Latin America.
