Some firms say they were helped by price and volume increases, despite high oil and raw material cots. Reliance Industries’ net profits increased 13%, to $955 million, for its fiscal first quarter. Sales rose 38%, to $10 billion, due in part to price and volume gains, Reliance says. Petchem production volumes increased 4%, to 5 million m.t.
