Reliance Industries reports a slight increase in profits

Reliance Industries says net profits for its fiscal fourth quarter, ended 31 March, increased 0.8% compared with the same period of the previous year, to about 56.3 billion Indian rupees ($926 million). Fourth-quarter sales increased 12.9%, to Rs978 billion. Reliance’s petrochemicals business’s fourth-quarter sales increased 9.9% compared with the year-ago period, to Rs243.4 billion, with Ebit up 10.6%, to Rs20.9 billion.
