PTT Affiliates Complete Merger, Creating PTT Global Chemical

Veerasak: Heading up the new company. PTT Chemical, and PTT Aromatics and Refining―each company an affiliate of energy firm PTT (Bangkok)―have completed their previously announced merger to create PTT Global Chemical. The merged entity is “Thailand’s largest and Asia’s leading integrated petrochemical and refining company,” PTT says. PTT Global Chemical has combined olefins and aromatics capacity of 8.2 million m.t./year and refining capacity of 280,000 bbl/day, and it generated proforma sales of about baht375 billion ($12.1 billion)...
