Orica (Melbourne) says it has signed an agreement with Yara International and Apache Energy (Perth, Australia), a subsidiary of Apache Corp. (Houston), to form a joint venture to build a previously announced 330,000-m.t./year technical ammonium nitrate (TAN) plant at the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia.
