Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Asia/Pacific OCI to Invest $1.6 Billion to Expand Polysilicon Capacity in Korea6:44 PM MST | December 16, 2010 | —DEEPTI RAMESH OCI (Seoul), formerly DC Chemical, says it will invest $1.4 billion to build a fourth polysilicon plant with a production capacity of 20,000 m.t./year at the company’s site at Gunsan, Korea. Construction of the plant will begin this month and is expected to be completed by October 2012. OCI will also invest about $245 million to increase the capacity of the existing third polysilicon plant by 7,000 m.t./year through debottlenecking.
