Mitsui & Co., Sumitomo Corp. to Merge Fertilizer Businesses

Mitsui & Co. and Sumitomo Corp. have agreed to study plans to integrate their fertilizer businesses in Japan. Mitsui and Sumitomo signed a basic agreement and are exploring the possibility of establishing a new company that would take over each firm’s fertilizer raw material export and import business.
