Mitsui Streamlines Businesses

Mitsui Chemicals, on the 10th anniversary of its creation, has drawn up plans to restructure its businesses with the aim of accelerating earnings growth over the next 10-15 years. The changes will be effective from April 1. Mitsui intends to reorganize its four business groups—petrochemicals, basic chemicals, functional chemicals and engineered materials, and functional polymeric materials—into three business sectors.
