Mitsui Executives Forfeit Pay Following Explosion

Mitsui Chemicals has announced that its top executives will forfeit a part of their remuneration “as a sense of responsibility” following a recent accident at the company’s Iwakuni-Ohtake, Japan site. An explosion occurred at the site on April 22, killing one employee and injuring 21 people, including 10 local residents. It also damaged 484 buildings and homes.
