DIC Corp. reported a slight improvement in earnings during the period, Tosoh reported a huge rise in profits, and Tokuyama reported a fall in profits. Quarterly results were not disclosed. DIC reported a 2.4% increase in net profits for the six months ended September 30, compared with the year-ago period, to ¥12.53 billion ($160.6 million).
