Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Asia/Pacific Lanxess Selects Singapore for Asian Nd-PBR Project9:45 AM MDT | June 10, 2011 | —DEEPTI RAMESH Lanxess says it has selected Singapore for a previously announced neodymium polybutadiene rubber (Nd-PBR) project in Asia. The company will invest €200 million ($292 million) to build a 140,000-m.t/year Nd-PBR plant at the Jurong Island Chemical Park. Lanxess announced last year that it had launched a feasibility study for an Nd-PBR project in Asia. Singapore was selected due to the availability of raw materials, Lanxess says.
