LCY terminates merger agreement with Kraton

Kraton Performance Polymers says that it has received notice from LCY Chemical (Taipei) that LCY has terminated their merger agreement following the Kraton board earlier withdrawing its recommendation that Kraton’s stockholders approve the deal. Plans for Kraton’s merger with the styrenic block copolymer (SBC) operations of LCY were first announced in January and would have created a leading worldwide manufacturer of SBC with more than $2 billion in annual revenue.
