Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Asia/Pacific Korea Engineering Plastics to Increase Polyacetal Capacity6:56 AM MDT | April 20, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) says that its Korea Engineering Plastics (KEP; Seoul) affiliate will expand capacity of its polyacetal production facility at Ulsan, Korea by 35,000 m.t./year, to 140,000 m.t./year. Celanese holds a 50% stake in KEP, MGC has 40%, and Mitsubishi Corp. holds the remaining 10%. KEP began production of polyacetal in 1988 using MGC technology. Construction of the facility, also based on MGC technology, will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013 and commercial operations are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2014, MGC says...
