Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Asia/Pacific Kemira Divests Stake in Japanese H2O2 Joint Venture12:29 PM MST | January 14, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz Kemira says it is selling its 50% stake in Kemira-Ube, a hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) production joint venture, to its partner Ube Industries. Ube says it will form a new jv with Mitsubishi Corp., which will take over Kemira-Ube’s 20,000-m.t./year H2O2 plant at Ube City, Japan. Kemira and Ube declined to disclose financial details of their transaction but say that the Ube City H2O2 plant has sales of about €20 million/year ($29.6 million).
