Form JV in India for Chlorinated PVC7:53 AM MST | December 16, 2011 | —DEEPTI RAMESH Kaneka (Osaka) says it has entered into an agreement with Meghmani Organics (Ahmedabad, India) and Mitsui & Co. to form a joint venture that will study construction of a chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) production facility at Dahej, India. Kaneka will have a 41% stake in the jv, which will take the name Trience Speciality Chemicals. Meghmani will have a 39% stake and Mitsui & Co. will hold the remaining 20%. The plant is expected to start production in 2014 and have capacity for 20,000 m.t./year of CPVC. The plant’s capacity will be increased...
