Honeywell-Sinochem jv breaks ground on China plant

Sinochem (Beijing) says that Sinochem Lantian Honeywell—a joint venture between Honeywell and Sinochem—has broken ground on a previously announced project to produce hydrofluorocarbon-245fa (HFC-245fa) at Taicang, China. HFC-245fa is a nonozone-depleting, rigid-foam blowing agent used in insulation for appliances, construction, transportation, and other applications for which maximum energy efficiency is required, Sinochem says.
