Henkel Builds World’s Biggest Adhesives Plant in China

Rorsted: The new plant will greatly enhance Henkel's growth potential in the country. Henkel says it has begun construction on an adhesives factory in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park at Caojing, China. The project will involve an investment of €50 million ($71.5 million) and the plant is expected to begin production at the end of 2012. The Henkel facility, following completion, will be the largest adhesives plant in the world with a production capacity of 428,000 m.t./year, the company says.
