Fire at Gail Petchem Site Kills One

Gail India (New Delhi) says that a fire at the company’s petrochemical facility at Pata, India on September 11 killed one employee and injured two others. The fire occurred in the crude hexane reboiler of the Pata site’s high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant, and the blaze was brought under control within one hour, the company says.
