Explosions Rock Chinese Plants

An explosion at the Baiyin, China site of China Gansu Yinguang Chemicals Co. on December 27, 2006 killed “at least three people” and injured an unspecified number of others, according to China’s official Xinhua news agency. Gansu Yinguang is a maker of explosives. The accident follows a blast on December 11 at the Lanzhou, China complex of Lanzhou Petrochemical that also killed three, Xinhua says.
