Earthquake May Cause Shortage of Electronic Materials

The powerful earthquake and tsunami that struck northeastern Japan on March 11 is likely to cause shortages of some key electronic materials. Electronic component manufacturers are increasingly concerned about a possible shortage of bismaleimide triazine resin (BT resin), used to make smartphones and tablet personal computers (PC).
